And never a new love will be the same”

I'm dudin' up my shirt front
Puttin' in the shirt studs
Polishin' my nails
I'm steppin' out, my dear
To breathe an atmosphere
That simply reeks with class"

Accept no substitute

A dress has always been
My strongest suit"

Verdi's opera Aida tells the story of an Ethiopian princess who is turned into a slave in Egypt and falls in love with the captain of the Egyptian army. American lyricist Leontyne Price turned the story into a children's book, which provided the basis for this Disney stage musical with songs by Elton John and Tim Rice. It would initially be an animated feature, but premiered in 2000 on Broadway. A box-office success, it won 4 Tonys and had a 4-year run. In My Strongest Suit, the Egyptian princess Amneris declares all her devotion for fashion.
